PRE-TATTOO PREPARATION GUIDE
1. Hydration is important all of the time, of course. But before a tattoo, make sure to load up on water.
2. 7 days before your appointment, use a good moisturiser to get your skin ready for its new ink.
3. Get a good night sleep. Being well rested is always a good thing and could make your session easier.
4. Eat balanced meal beforehead. Getting a tattoo is causing trauma to your body, so it’s super important to have enough energy to get through without having your blood sugar drop too low, which could cause it to feel more painful.
5. Bring snacks. It’s a good idea to bring some healthy snacks and drinks along with you. Nuts or protein bars are a good idea, rather than sugary sweets, to avoid intense blood sugar spikes.
7. wear comfortable clothing. Soft, loose, practical clothing is usually best; it’s easy to move and won’t be rough on your skin afterwards. Putting a bit of thought into your outfit can save you a whole lot of hassle on the day.
8. Please do not drink alcohol for several days prior to your session – this may cause excessive bleeding during the session and cause an issue with the healing process.
TATTOO AFTERCARE GUIDE
1. Wash your hands before taking off the bandage. Remove the bandage after 2-3 hours.
2. Gently wash the tattoo with soap (antibacterial if available) and water, and pat dry with a clean paper towel.
3. Apply a layer of moisturizing antibiotic ointment, but don’t put on another bandage.
4. Carefully wash your tattoo area three times a day with soap and water, and gently pat it dry.
5. Keep applying a moisturizer or ointment after you clean your tattoo to keep it moist. After 5 days, you can switch from an antibiotic ointment to a gentle fragrance-free body lotion.
6. You should repeat this process for 2-4 weeks.
7. If your tattoo scabs a bit or develops hard layers, don’t worry, it’s normal. But never pick, scratch, or peel your tattoo.
8. Avoid swimming and the sun for about 2 weeks. You want to keep your tattoo dry and out of direct sun to give it the best chance to heal properly.
DESIGHN PROCESS
Please describe your tattoo idea in full detail and attach all the images and references you like. Also send a photo of the location on your body where you would like the tattoo done.
More information and pictures you provide - easier it will be to create something you’ll be happy to live with.
At the beginning of your first appointment, we will discuss and finalize your tattoo design. Designs will not be prepared or discussed prior to the session. This process might take one to two hours and is a part of the session’s time.
For larger or more complex projects, we may need to make a consultation for working on the design.
Keep in mind that large projects such as full sleeves and back pieces may take 5 to 8 sessions, and leg sleeves take even longer 7-10 sessions, depending on variables such as skin type, the size and detail of the tattoo.
SESSION
Our session starts at 11 am and ends at 6 pm, including lunch break.
If you’re late for your appointment it will still end at 6 pm and you’ll be charged in full.
If you do not show up for the appointment - you lose your deposit and we will not be able to work together.
If you have any health problems, allergies, and contraindications - please warn me about this in advance.
